I’ve been doing research on Merangin, Jambi Province of Indonesia since 2016. While doing my assigned professional job, i’ve been secretly took photos of flowers and other plantations (and more!) that catched my eyes. When doing my job, i have to visit forests (some are deep & untouched), lakes, rivers, mountains, hills, and remote places, so… i think letting go of what i “catched” outside of my job’s routine into waste is such a pity. Too many precious things… 🙂
The photos was taken from 2016 to 2018 period of time. The location varies, some plants are wild in the forest, near the waterfall, on the edge of footpath, inside local garden, etc. Here is the brief information about Merangin Regency. It is a small place with a lot of hidden gems waiting to be recognized…
Consider this post as refreshment for the eyes…
See a bee on one of the flower above?
Above, on the right is flower on the street.
Who is coffee lover here? Do you know that coffee plantation has flower too? See the round fruit like grapes below? That’s coffee beans. And the white flower is coffee’s flower.
Merangin is famous for its coffee. Most locals have coffee field and managing that become one of their major income. I’ll write about coffee plantation in Merangin on separate post. Stay tune!
On the next post, maybe i’ll write series of waterfalls on Merangin also. There are bunch of them here!
Well, talking about Flora, i can’t stop thinking about beautiful songs by Enya: Flora’s Secret (listen here). The vibes is very positive and joyful. And, the lyric is so poetical.
So, if you wonder, that’s where this post title come from 😉
